Content that works. Thousands of videos and counting.
Explainers, company stories, events, training, TVCs and social, for Australian brands of every size. Some ran as single projects, some as part of an ongoing engine. Here’s a selection — every one of them had to work the first time.
From first idea to finished cut.
Creative
DecoRug
It usually starts with an idea, but it can be hard to bring that story to life. We can develop concepts, write copy, develop storyboards, direct shoots, and create all sorts of promotional video content from scratch.
Videography
Sydney University
The best stories are told by those who experience it. Marketable content from non-professional talent for compelling, highly emotive storytelling. We can help with the vision, the interview process, and the production.
Post-production
Jojoba
BYO footage? Not a problem. Whether it was professionally shot or captured on your smartphone, the FastCut team can transform your raw footage into marketable video content. Leave the grunt work to us and save time and money.
Animation
Blackmores
Whether you have a script in hand or need to create something from scratch, we’ll animate your story. Animation is particularly popular for explainer videos, to communicate abstract concepts, or when shooting is less practical.
Re-purposing
Ceva
No need to reinvent the wheel. Whether it’s social media optimisation, retail end-tagging, or international adaptations, re-purposing is a clever way to extend the shelf life of your valuable brand media assets in today’s multi-screen world.
3PV
FastCut
3PV (3rd Party Video) simply means outsourcing your post-production operation to FastCut. Reduce your exposure by turning your fixed cost into a variable cost. Simply leave the post-production work to us and save time and money.
Nothing in that category yet.
The brief, the work, the result.
Amazon retailer
“I’m a sole proprietor competing on Amazon USA and I needed my product to stand out from the online clutter.”
Multiple pieces of content for multi-media
Create two videos for each Watch Storage Box SKU (4) to establish a premium brand image and to support e-retail sales through Amazon USA.
For each SKU (4), we shot and created an emotive ‘lifestyle’ spot to enhance the premium image and a shorter, more ‘functional’ video to highlight the features and benefits of the actual product.
The result was a series of 8 videos (a lifestyle and shorter functional spot for each of 4 SKUs). Each SKU gave prospective buyers a compelling reason to trust the Tawbury brand to store and protect their premium watch collection in style without seeing or touching the product. Tawbury quickly rose to become a Preferred Retailer and Top Seller by standing out amongst the online crowd.
Content catalogue
“We needed a ton of videos for various media channels… but we don’t have a ton of money.”
Multiple pieces of content for multi-media
Develop a suite of video content for a pregnancy supplement that can be used across a variety of media channels throughout the year.
End-to-end full creative services and a comprehensive content plan, all in one day of filming.
The result was a content series of 24 videos of various styles, formats and durations, created to meet the needs of the media amplification plan, which included the Chinese export market. The final catalogue included promotional spots, explainers, testimonials and a nutritional information series.
Online training
“We wanted to use real patient stories to make our online training more impactful and the topics more relatable.”
Develop content for Sydney University’s online Brain Injury training platform
Populate the recently launched Communications Lab to further the understanding of communication disorders following acquired brain injury (ABI). Leverage real patient stories to enhance the overall learning experience and to improve the communication between people with ABI, their family members, friends and carers.
In conjunction with the University, we identified, pre-screened, and filmed 4 unique ABI cases to present a variety of situations and communication challenges associated with brain injury. We involved carers and/or family members and picked locations to get a better depth of storytelling and to reduce anxiety, particularly with subjects that may not be as comfortable sharing and documenting their deeply personal stories to camera.
The result was 4 mini-documentary style patient/carer stories featuring 4 different ABI patients. In addition, 14 topical modules were also edited in post-production to populate a variety of specific topics to improve the overall impact of the online training platform.
Re-purposing
“I wanted to convert our international TVC and other footage into social media content for the local market.”
Recycle the UK TVC assets for the Australian market
With a small production budget and encouragement from head office to ‘use what we got’, convert the UK TVC and other footage into a compliant Australian TVC and adapt them for social media. Furthermore, the usage rights for the primary talent had expired.
We re-created the 30s UK TVC into a 15s TVC/digital ad to comply with the significant regulatory differences and footage usage limitations. It involved a full review of the footage available vis-à-vis the unusable footage (talent expiry), a re-writing of the script, and the development of a new storyboard to create broadcast and digital ads for use across all media.
The result was a fully broadcast-ready, compliant 15s TVC that aired in the Australian market, including the creation of a new end frame with local pack shots and local voice-over talent. The 15s spot was then optimised for Instagram (9:16 formatting) and Facebook (1:1), which enabled the Australian market to use the vast majority of its limited spend on working media.

Telling a tech start-up company’s story with video
Help raise corporate profile by positioning Escavox as an essential IoT service to help food producers and distributors significantly reduce waste along the food supply chain. The video(s) will be used to help raise capital investment and to acquire new customers (increase sales revenues).
Use a mix of real footage and animation of people and processes to construct unique narratives that outline the many benefits of their technology to different stakeholders.
The result was an animated explainer video and two versions (one for the meat industry, one for the produce industry) of the corporate story video for their website and for customer trade shows. Channel Nine used the video in a 2-minute exclusive segment on the Evening News explaining how Escavox’s technology can reduce food waste.
